The ART-INFORMATION-CENTER is an information service that has been providing reliable data on art, artists, and art education since 1960 to students, scholars, museums, foundations, collectors, and publishers. AIC uses a large private library, an archive of about 100,000 images, numerous databases, and expert knowledge from a global network of world-class specialists. Clients include the Fine Arts Museums of San Fransico; J. Paul Getty Museum, Malibu; The Louvre, Paris; Musée d'Orsay, Paris; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Victoria & Albert Museum, London; & Shizouka Museum of Art, Japan. The focus is Western Art (Renaissance to 20th Century), but questions on Asian Art & Tribal Art can be answered.
AIC products include authenticity studies, bibliographies, catalogues, collection management reports, research reports, exhibitions, and publications, as well as classes, conferences, and program guidelines for PBS-TV, KQED-TV, Time Life Video, & Home Vision.
AIC also can provide Internet services for the creation of simple websites or complex, searchable databases online, including world-class images. In association with the Institute for Aesthetic Development, these state-of-the-art Internet services are being made available at non-profit rates.
AIC periodicals include BOA: Bulletin of the Archives of the Art Information Center, & MUSE: Newsletter of Art Education & Cultural Planning. Project advisors have included Yvonne Brunhammer (France); Kenneth Clark (England); Wanda Corn (USA); Stuart P. Feld (USA); Klara Garas (Hungary); S. Marinatos (Greece); Walter McCrone (USA); A.E. Popham (England); E.P. Richardson (USA); Meyer Schapiro (USA); Pierre Rosenberg (France); and Hajime Shimoyama (Japan).

The Director of the AIC is Lanier Graham, a scholar of international reputation, who also is active in developing innovative forms of media-based education including TV, Video, Internet courses, and electronic 3D presentations. His primary bio-data is:
